First Survey Results Are In!

Last week, I crafted my very first survey to learn a little more about the people who are seeing my messages. I thought you might find the results interesting. Not being a survey analyst, I am relying on my instincts to interpret them. I’d love to hear what you think. Please comment and share your thoughts. Here are the results: 100% of the respondents are working in one form or another. 50% are working, 38% have their own companies and 12.5% are self-employed franchise owners. 100% have experienced a life changing disaster. 87.5% have education beyond a high school diploma. 75% are between the age of 41-70. After that, the answers get much more diverse. When asked how they got past their disaster: 25% went to therapy or received coaching and 25% wrote their own book (and started a business around it). The remaining 50% are still working on getting past the situation. Some gave it to God; others divorced but haven’t claimed a successful resolution yet. The most diverse responses came when asked about their financial situation. The results ranged all along the spectrum from being comfortable to struggling. 25% are receiving help from their families, and 25% are…

A Call to Look at the Inner Essence of My Vision Board

Recently I had the opportunity to have lunch with Bill Ganz. Up until a short time before that, I did not know who Bill was, but Hannibal Contreras, our video control operator on Home and Family, has known Bill for a long time. Hannibal and Bill first worked together several years ago in connection with Anthony Robbins’ live events. Hannibal has also read my book Rainbows Over Ruins and felt that Bill and I were two like-minded individuals who ought to meet. Not entirely sure why we were being introduced, Bill and I each initiated a few social media exchanges to break the ice. It took a couple weeks for the three of us to actually get together, but once we did I felt as if I was experiencing a Dr. Spock form of mind meld as we chatted about his work and associates, and found common ground. Bill Ganz has quite a track record. In addition to live events, Bill is an expert in the areas of personal branding, image making, video production and internet marketing.   His client list includes major corporations, self-improvement leaders like Anthony Robbins and the Deepak Chopra Center, and he speaks of other leaders like…

3 Tips to Clear Writer’s Block

Time has been flying by over the past few weeks, although you wouldn’t know it by my blog posts or my podcasts.  I hit a wall.  I had posts in mind, but was waiting for the podcast to solidify before writing any posts.  The podcasts just wouldn’t come together.  Even though I finally recorded one, it sits in storage waiting for me to download and finish it for publication. Finally, I began to follow my own advice.  I decided to clear areas where I had stacked papers waiting to file, pitch or mark for use later.   My very worst “hotspot” is generally the kitchen counter.  All the mail lands there before I can get a chance to go through it.  And when I am busy, the pile grows higher.  I’d been using the excuse that taxes had to get done before I could deal with it, but since that is no longer the case, I took the pile with me in front of the television and began to go through it.  Absolutely amazing how much winds up in the trash! With receipts for the new year finally placed in a new bin for 2015, and trash eliminated, the pile was…

Why Do I Achieve My Goals?

Persistent use of the creative process help you achieve the results you desire. We may not know how or when we will receive the results. Our only task is to persistently focus on them. Keep thinking about these ideas. Bob Proctor says repetition is the first law of learning – and the best way to repeat is to involve as many senses as you can. Read, listen, write, draw, and watch movies. Engage your feelings every day. Think about what brings you joy. Now is the time to make a commitment to move from what you think you can be to what you know will be…until the life you are seeking becomes the life you are living every single day. Now that’s what I call results! Utilize the information provided here to increase your productivity and effectiveness so you can have more time, more money, and more freedom to enjoy what you want out of life. Develop your conscious relationship to your subconscious mind and gain access to the inner guidance and wealth of resources it provides. Work with someone who supports you to achieve your goals. Our program is designed to provide the ingredients for consistent success: ongoing…

Use the Power of Your Creative Consciousness

The success principles tell us how to bring the results we desire into reality, but it isn’t always easy to understand without a visual image of how the mind works. One of the simplest to follow is a diagram created by Dr. Thurman Fleet, a chiropractor in Texas during the 1930s. Dr. Fleet founded the Concept Theory that demonstrated that we think in pictures – for example, if I ask you to describe your car, you get a picture of your car in your mind. If I ask you where the salt is in your kitchen, you get a picture of your kitchen, whether you left the dishes in the sink, what’s on the counter, just where the salt should be. It follows that if we want to understand a complicated subject, we need to have a picture of it. So what picture do you get, when you think of your mind? Did you see your brain? That would be a common response, however, the brain is not the mind. It is an organ. The mind is the activity that goes on in the brain. Following Dr. Fleet’s theory, you need an image of the mind in order to get…

Why is it So Much Fun to Discover the Creative Process?

There is a creative process that can yield “miraculous” solutions in your personal and professional life. Using it, we can create something better. The process I’m referring to is simple to do and simple not to do. All that is required is that you change the way you think in order to clear the way to become the most successful person you desire to be. It is my goal to teach you some concepts about quantum creativity, how the mind works and some techniques you can use to envision an improved future and discover the joy of creating your dream lifestyle. You have only to ask in the right way and it is given. You can choose rainbows over ruins. Several years ago, my life was in chaos. I had just lost my home to a landslide and was terrified, overwhelmed by the daunting task of starting over again. It would have been easy to give up. However, my husband and I vaguely remembered something we had learned 30 years earlier when we studied a book by Napoleon Hill. We applied what we remembered, focused on what we wanted to create and rebuilt a better lifestyle than we had even…

Why Do I Focus on the One Thing I Want?

The key to creative success is to focus on the one thing you want and place your attention on it for as long as it takes to attain. It is an inner and an outer process that occurs simultaneously in one’s thoughts, feelings and actions as we achieve a series of goals that are the next logical steps required to move forward in an orderly way. Call it purpose, the one thing, or a reason for being. It is your primary objective. Quantum physicists tell us that we live in a universe of consciousness, surrounded by infinite waves of possibility. For anything to manifest, we have to focus on one of these possibilities, whether it’s simple changes to the environment around us or as complex as a life’s work. The primary challenge is to focus on one thing long enough to bring it into being without trying to control the results. We go through the process continuously as we move step by step toward our goals. Physicist Amit Goswami calls this quantum creativity. Everything begins as a thought associated with a desire, question or contrast. Concentrating on the idea, we activate the possibility of creating what we think and feel…

Why is it Possible to Turn Disaster Into Opportunity?

Hi, I’m Susan Sherayko. I believe we are all creative beings, attracting the elements of the lifestyle that surrounds us to the pursuit of our life work. My goal is to share the principles that enable us to create successfully with less time, money and effort. By day, I produce television, part of a team that creates content every day. In my spare time, I write about a creative process that anyone can use. Several years ago my husband and I lost our home of 19 years to a landslide. After we relocated, rebuilt and even improved our lifestyle, I wanted to know – I studied a great deal during that time and became aware that the steps we took to do this were an example of a creative process. I came to understand the principles, but a nagging question remained. Could I honestly tell others that this process worked? Why does this process have the potential to yield desired results? I wanted to be an example of someone living according to these principles, a successful role model. I wanted to be able to say that the process works if you work it. But along the way, I got stuck…

Why Do I Give Myself Permission to Create?

You are a creative being. We are all creative beings connected to quantum consciousness. We are expressions of quantum creativity. Thus, we desire to successfully create. In fact, I believe that success is synonymous with creation. Success is a continual act of thinking thoughts and choosing actions that move you toward the creation of what you desire. Success is a result of a creative thought process that inspires our daily activities over an extended period of time. Success is the progressive realization of an idea. Pursuing success fills us with enthusiasm. There are things you can do to develop thoughts that support success without costing lots of time, money and effort. Why do you care? Because you feel uplifted when you actively create. When you feel the way you want to feel when you have what you want to do, be or have, right now, not in some long distant future…you attract it into your life. Use techniques to flip your thinking and manage your emotions and coordinate your thoughts, feelings and actions to support successful creation. You are invited to discover the simple things you can do to create and enjoy the best life you can imagine.

THE UPSIDE OF BUILDING A LIST

I can barely believe I am saying this. If there is any topic I have resisted, it is lists. To me, they represent cold bulk emails that overfill my email inbox. They are time consuming and require purging periodically or (with Gmail) relocation from one category to another. For me, the day of the long sales letter is gone along with the teasing video that drones on forever before you learn exactly what is being offered. However, now that I want to reach a larger number of people to provide them with information, products and services, I am more sensitive to the online dilemma. The world may be at your fingertips, but it doesn’t mean they are listening or getting your message. To reach your audience, you have to get more efficient in how you send out announcements and invitations. Right now, I have a larger number of email contacts than social media followers, and my “List” is tiny. Because of the regulations on Internet marketing, no one can “blast” their email contacts as in the Wild West days of the Internet. Instead, we must contact each and every person one at a time or in very small groups. It…

MAKING IT REAL

It’s official! My podcast series is live – and the first 3 episodes are available. AND I have a One Sheet to start promoting it. That’s the document that tells people about the show, especially publicists and potential guests. Our Home and Family publicist read it for me and gave it his blessing – thank you, Alfred – so I’d like to share it here first, for you. “REBUILDING YOUR LIFE: MOVING FROM DISASTER TO PROSPERITY” with Susan Sherayko is a podcast where we help you transform your life by changing what you’re telling yourself. We engage in discussion with those who have experienced a disaster, as well as those who help us come through the experience. We look at what they did to heal, rebuild, and where they are now. REBUILDING YOUR LIFE… will share stories with you, bring in experts in contemporary brain research and various kinds of positive self-talk, and provide action steps that can help you discover the truth of this information over the course of this series. Natural disasters such as fire, flood, earthquake and landslides; financial disasters where we lose everything; lost relationships; bad marriages and business failures — What they all seem to…

Get Ready to Meet Sandra Daly

Hi!  Within days, my podcast series “Rebuilding Your Life: Moving from Disaster to Prosperity” premieres and I will get to introduce you to Sandra Daly. I mention her briefly in my book, but this conversation is an opportunity to spend an extended time with her. I first became aware of Sandra when I was studying with Bob Proctor. She had just published her second book, “Pop Your Paradigms,” and there was a great deal of celebration at LifeSuccess. Mary Manin Morrissey, one of Bob’s close colleagues, had been an integral part of the story that helped Sandra put 9 months into the personal inner work that gave her the courage to remove herself from a violent family situation. As Sandra wrote about that experience, I was amazed at how vividly she had captured the way we listen to positive and negative voices in our heads. Over time, she came to embody the word “escape, rescue and recovery” (one of my chapter titles in Rainbows Over Ruins). She climbed off a Greyhound bus with a backpack, a duffel bag and $80.00 in her pocket. She had no job and no job prospects. She didn’t know a soul in Arizona and was…

Advance Notice – Get Ready to Meet Noah St. John

As you know, I’ve been focused on the 30-Day Podcast Challenge these past few weeks. It’s been a great experience to learn these techniques and record my first episode. However, before releasing that show, I’m putting together two additional shows about which I am very excited. Anyone who knows me will not be surprised that I’d like to invite you to meet Noah St. John, author, coach and mentor, with whom I have been privileged to work over the past few years. I’ve taken his trainings and participated in his mastermind group. Last July, we appeared together on Home and Family to discuss his latest book, Afformations: The Miracle of Positive Self-Talk which has just been released in soft cover. If you’ve read my book Rainbows Over Ruins, you know that I devoted over a full chapter in it to my experience with Afformations. They provided the necessary impetus and support for my shift from increasingly negative circumstances to what has grown into an incredible opportunity. I became aware of Noah when he did an online interview that I chose when the headline grabbed me. He was talking about getting unstuck – and I was the poster child for being…
