There is a creative process that can yield “miraculous” solutions in your personal and professional life. Using it, we can create something better.
The process I’m referring to is simple to do and simple not to do. All that is required is that you change the way you think in order to clear the way to become the most successful person you desire to be.
It is my goal to teach you some concepts about quantum creativity, how the mind works and some techniques you can use to envision an improved future and discover the joy of creating your dream lifestyle.
You have only to ask in the right way and it is given. You can choose rainbows over ruins.
Several years ago, my life was in chaos. I had just lost my home to a landslide and was terrified, overwhelmed by the daunting task of starting over again. It would have been easy to give up. However, my husband and I vaguely remembered something we had learned 30 years earlier when we studied a book by Napoleon Hill. We applied what we remembered, focused on what we wanted to create and rebuilt a better lifestyle than we had even imagined.
Now you may not think you need to change the way you think or pursue a creative process right now. You may be sitting out there in your ‘comfort zone’ –feeling successful already, saying “My mortgage is paid, I have a roof over my head, food on the table and a great job. Why should I want to do anything to change my life?”
The answer is because whether you plan for it or not, nothing ever stays the way it is. Change is the one constant we have. You can be crushed by it – like when I had the mountain come crumbling down on top of my world – or you can be prepared. When your world starts to shift, there are only two directions you can move – forward or backward.
Perhaps this suggestion sets off a few negative thoughts. Call it head trash. You may have tried to change before without any success. Or your inner voice may be saying – “I don’t have enough time.” “I don’t have the money.” “I’m too old.” “I’m afraid.” Worse than that, maybe you are wallowing around in feelings of anger, fear, depression, worry and doubt. Maybe you are even in bondage to some habit that you can’t shake.
And isn’t that ironic? The very reasons you give yourself for why you haven’t made changes are the reasons why you need to step into action now in order to get better results.
Maybe things don’t seem congenial to success right now, but those conditions won’t stay that way if you do what is suggested. When you start to build upon actions step by step, you will get the time, money and freedom to do, be or have anything you want.
So let me ask you some questions.
Do you know where you are on the road of life?
Do you know what you want?
Do you know how to get there?
Do you have the power to do it?
My personal experience has shown me that following the creative process can help you answer all those questions with a resounding Yes!
Do those questions really matter? Yes.
Lots of people are not honest with themselves about where they are. They are in total denial about the reality of their situation. The rooms of 12 Step Programs are filled with people who once said that they didn’t have a problem. And it doesn’t take a lot of intelligence to realize that if you don’t know where you are, it’s very hard to get anywhere else. If I’m in Vancouver, Canada heading for San Diego, a map from Atlanta to San Diego is not going to do me very much good.
Some of the spookiest statistics emerge when people are asked if they know what they want. Less than 10% of the world’s population can answer that question. Now that’s probably not an accurate statistic if you are here because you would not have chosen to read this if you were not experiencing a desire for something more. But most people live what might be called “lives of quiet desperation.”
They move through life in daily routines, many of which they learned from their mothers. How they get dressed. How they clean up the kitchen or prepare breakfast. How much time they give themselves to get up in the morning to get to their jobs on time. How they do their job. What they do when they get home. How they walk in the door, fix themselves a drink, turn on the TV and zone out for the rest of the evening. How they help the kids with their homework, prepare for the next day, go to bed and get ready to do it all over again. Day in and day out. Even if they have an idea of something more that they would like to have in their lives, they see no time, money or energy in their day to pursue it. Their energies are too low to change the routine. Why is that?
Are you aware of things you could do, probably should do, and if you would do, they would improve the results you are getting? Then why aren’t you doing them?
Let’s go back to the group of people who are drifting through life in their routines. If we are in this group, when things go wrong due to illness, job loss, or natural disaster, we are totally overwhelmed. We are at a loss. We may self-medicate to get through it. We may work really hard just to barely survive, without very good results. It’s a kind of shock, walking in a daze without any idea of how to proceed. We feel powerless. And I can speak of it because I lived through it when that landslide crashed through my home. It is a horrific event.
However, it is also life altering in a very significant way. In moments of such distress, we become very clear about what we want. My husband and I got very clear that we needed dry clothes, a roof over our head, a way to keep our family together, and a way to preserve our livelihood. We wanted health from injuries that developed. We wanted to be able to pay all our bills. Once over the initial shock, we began to look for solutions. We started to use our minds – not lose, USE our minds.
You see, we didn’t have a lot of power over the people, places or things around us at that moment, but we did have the power of our mind. The mind is a gift we are all born with. In order to be successful at getting the results we want, we need to have some power. When you want to get something, you have to see it and you have to resonate with it, FEEL it. You have to really want something and be willing to do whatever it takes to get. The idea has to bring you joyful feelings of anticipation and expectation.
So as we complete the creation process, what are you thinking? What do you want? Are you willing to change the way you are thinking in order to obtain the results you desire?
If you are, then learning the creative process has value for you to clarify what you want, develop a process and a plan, overcome paradigms that are in the way and develop the power to get results, personally, professionally and financially.
Think about it. If what you are doing isn’t working, doesn’t it make sense to look at a new way of doing things? That’s what I want you to do. I want you to become aware of the best information from the best philosophers, organized in a coherent manner so that you can look at things differently and use it to go after the things you want.
Where are you right now in your life? Be honest with yourself. You are either at the top of your game, celebrating how awesome things are or you are not.
